So very close to being done. Couple more days and we can start to pack for our trip. Not a lot to comment on this past week.
Just some frustration in trying to wallpaper my first time, and doing it alone...I watched the youtube videos, I read instructions. Nothing quite prepares you like jumping in and doing it. So it's definitely not perfect. I miscalculated on the kitchen, and didn't get enough. Then the pattern I chose thinking it would be easy, definitely has a repeat, and I didn't have enough to line it up properly. So my advice from what I went thru, get enough so you can scrap an entire strip, and enough to line it up properly...above what the sq footage says.
Also about wallpaper., I purchased the pebble paper from Wal-Mart because it matched my theme. However it is poorly made, it scratched easily, and it will not be appropriate for a water environment. We have no intention of using the shower, but still thought we'd use the tub...if needed. I will likely replace it in a couple years, but for now it looks good, I like it.
I have finished the cushions, another task I have no experience on. Thanks to others on you tube and Pinterest, I followed what they did, and I think for my first time it turned out okay. I had found a business shutting down, so I picked up the remaining bolt of red upholstery fabric...but it didn't quite cover all my cushions. So with some improvisation I added orange to two smaller one, that will be arm rests., and made a 3rd pillow to tie it together.
We got all the windows removed and replaced all the sealant. Just a few final touches and things to do on the inside and I will have the after pictures.
